Make your own Penydarren Locomotive Flip Book! On February 21, 1804, Richard Trevithick became the first person to run a steam locomotive on rails. Come along and create a Victorian style flip book that shows you how the locomotive looked and moved.

Making your mark on Merthyr at Redhouse and Cyfarthfa Castle - Mar 31, 2018

Making your mark on Merthyr at Redhouse and Cyfarthfa Castle This event is a two day long art experience! March 31, will be held at the Redhouse (Old town hall) where artists will be on hand to help you create a range of portraits, that will come together to make a huge piece of art. Drop in between 11:00am – 4:00pm to take part in this one off art experience. (Child friendly event) April 1, will take place at Cyfarthfa Park. There will be many different art workshops, led by artists, all over the park. If you take part in all the workshops there will be a special prize and there is lots more going on that day. Drop into the park anytime between 11:00am-4:00pm to take part. Waiting times can vary (Child friendly event)
